Kelli Zerbel went house to house on Lapeer street, just doors from where Ruth Hallman was found beaten in her home this afternoon, soliciting famlies to sign up for an APX home security system. Zerbel said she was planning to canvass the neighborhood today and when she arrived she saw the crime scene. She said she approached police officers to ask for permission to solicit and was told she was allowed to. �I was supposed to be here anyway but after I saw that (crime scene), I was like �Wow, what if I had talked to that lady yesterday? Then that might not have happened,� � she said. Llvester Sharp, 24, was solicited by the security saleswoman. He lives three doors down from Hallman. He said it was a little bit too soon for anyone to be coming by to sell home security systems.
